Here for you are numbers from the Western District of the Southern Georgian Bay Association of Realtors, Year to Date, as at the end of March 2017.  The number of residential properties listed was down from 948 to 748, a decrease of 21%.   The number sold was up from 472 to 560, a decrease of 18.6%.  Total value of properties sold was $246,039,256 up 40%. Overall, with the number of listings taken down, and the number of sales made up, the result is still a declining inventory.  Year to date, the Sales to Listings ratio was up from 50 to 75, the average market time was 49 days, and properties sold for an average of 98% of asking.  Market conditions mean that buyers will be paying more, and sellers can expect a better market response. This chart shows the latest 12 months listings and sales.

These stats reflect the huge confidence of investors in our area real estate.  Three sources of buyers supporting our market are retirees, second home owners and international buyers.

Stayner/Clearview, listings were down 41% to 44 and sales were down by 8% to 44, the 12 month moving average selling price was up 38% to $510,808.

Collingwood, listings were down 7% to 146, and sales were down .03% to 113, the 12 month moving average selling price was up 20% to $395,968.

Meaford, listings were down 17% to 48, and sales were up 27% to 28, the 12 month moving average selling price was up 14% to $349,966.

The Blue Mountains, listings were up 3 to 134, and sales were up 29% to 93, the 12 month moving average selling price was up 2% to $511,041.

Tiny Township, listings were down 30% to 84, sales were down 2 to 58, the 12 month moving average selling price was up 10% to $373,278.

Wasaga Beach, listings were down 28% to 159, and sales were down 5 to 132, the 12 month moving average selling price was up 12% to $337,573.
